Illustrator and designer living in Las Vegas NV. I’m inspired by the magic I see in the world, and I find magic in the everyday things I love, such as yoga, travel, and food. As well as the fantasy and fairy tale books I grew up. My goal is to share my favorite things with you, but also share those moments of joy and adventure through bright, bold, and expressive illustrations.
I’m inspired by the magic I see in the world, and I find magic in the everyday things I love, such as yoga, travel, and food. My goal is to share my favorite things with you, and hope you'll find as much joy in them as I do.
I began drawing at a young age inspired by cartoons, comics, and video games. My parents supported me with art supplies, drove me to art classes, and provided plenty of encouragement. In college I studied computer animation, with the goal of combining my interests in animation, art, and storytelling. While doing research for my final project I discovered children's books illustration. I fell in love with Arthur Rackham, Beatrix Potter, Ernest H. Shepard, and many more. The stories of Wind and the Willows, Winnie the Pooh, and Peter Rabbit inspired me to create my own characters and worlds. I wanted to be a children’s book illustrator.
Illustration was not meant to be after I finished college. I found success in graphic design as I spent the last 15 years working in the industry. However, I was still determined to follow my dream to be an illustrator and make picture books for the world. I began to hone my illustration skills on traditional media such as watercolors, graphite, colored pencils, and ink. I want my work to have a traditional feel that is sometimes lost in digital media. Inspired by the animal characters from my favorite children's book I decided that a mouse would be the perfect character to illustrate. You'll find my mice, and other animal characters doing all the things I love to do and much more throughout the year.
